I'm most likely doing something wrong, I just can't figure it out. I even tried to build an additional row of foundation all around the intended placement. The "requires foundation" placement error vanishes, but instead two new errors show up, "blocked by nearby Fence or Wall ". Good thing there's a neat search function. I somehow managed to not find/look for the "Foundation" object. Hope you're enjoying so far - let us know if any other questions or feedback! By using the hotkeys you'll be able to keep your cursor (or a build tool) positioned at the same 'cell' and switch between floors, which is right now the easiest way to quickly line things up. To get things 'lined up' it is often easiest to choose a planning tool color, go to the area on the G floor & mark it off on as needed, and then - without moving your mouse - use the PageDown key to go down 1 level, and then color in the same area further with the planning tool. You can then go back to the Ground floor, and (once the foundation finishes), place the baggage objects in the correct position. Once you're on the level you want to build on, for instance if you switch to -1, build a foundation. Alternatively on the right side of the main UI HUD there is a "Level Selector" UI that you can click with the mouse - click the arrows to go up or down. It's easiest with the key commands - defaults are "" and PageUp/PageDown keys.
